But before we get into that, let's take a minute, check it out and make sure it's going to work for you. So if it we inchesre me and I was wanting to put a hitch on a vehicle like our QX50, first thing that would probably come to my mind is the appearance. It's really going to look good on the back of the Infiniti. For the most part, it's going to be completely hidden. Really the only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube. What I really like about this hitch is that for the most part, it's going to be completely hidden. And that's a good thing because it's really going to help maintain that factory Infiniti look and not take away from the appearance of it. The only thing you're really going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening. Now, the only thing I personally would add to it would be a reinforced collar. more

Up above here, we have the Curt trailer hitch and down below we have our Draw-Tite trailer hitch.Now, there are some noticeable differences between these two options. Number one, the Curt hitch as we can see here, it's going to look a little bit nicer than our Draw-Tite hitch. Our patter coat has more of a glossier finish whereas our Draw-Tite hitch has more of a duller finish, also on the receiver tube opening, you can see here the Curt hitch has a nice collar, which is going to make for a sleek look whereas the Draw-Tite hitch doesn't have that collar.So if you're going for the hitch that's going to look the best on the rear of your vehicle, then you're going to want to choose the Curt hitch. However, if you're going with the hitch that's going to be easier to install, you're definitely going to want to go with the Draw-Tite and there's a couple of reasons for this.Number one, if we take a look at these side plates here on our trailer hitch, you can see there's going to be an extra bend in our Draw-Tite option. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Infiniti Q50- Video

Connor: Hey guys, how's it going Connor here today at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a look at the CURT trailer hitch receiver here for our 2015 Infiniti Q50.So this is what our CURT trailer hitch looks installed. It's going to be an excellent option here for our Q50. It's going to allow us to tow a trailer if we want to go camping, or it's going to allow us to carry some bikes or some extra cargo, if we need to free up space inside the vehicle, or we want to go hit the trails.So this hitch has a Class 1 rating, which is going to provide us with a one and a quarter inch receiver tube opening. Now the hitch has a 2000 pound gross trailer weight rating, which is going to be how much we can pull on our fully-loaded trailer. It also has a 200 pound tongue weight rating, which is going to be the downward force here on the receiver tube opening.Please keep in mind, although our trailer hitch does have a 2000 pound gross trailer weight rating, we need to check with the vehicle's owner's manual to ensure A, that the vehicle can actually tow a trailer, and B, that the capacity exceeds that of the hitch. more

Our Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch here is going to be an excellent option for our Infinity. We're going to be able to tow a trailer if we want to hit the campgrounds. We're also going to be able to use this for a bike rack or cargo carrier if we want to hit the trails or free up some space inside the vehicle. Our Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch here is going to have a class 1 rating, which is going to provide us with a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Infiniti Q50- Video

Today we're going to taking a look at the Curt Class I Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2018 INFINITI Q50.Now here's what it's going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be hidden behind the bumper, which is really nice because nobody wants something really big hanging out on the back of their INFINITI. Now it is a Class I hitch, so it's going to give us that 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, which would be great for bike racks or some of those smaller cargo carriers. But regardless of what we're going to be using it for, we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side.The hitch is going to accept a standard 1/2" pin and clip. more

Now, here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. I really like it because it has a really clean appearance on it because nobody really wants to have a big bar hanging out the bottom of their Infiniti. The cross tube on our hitch here is hidden behind the bumper, so the only thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out.Now, it is a Class I hitch, which means it's going to provide us that inch-and-a-quarter by inch-and-a-quarter receiver tube opening. It's going to be great for bike racks or some of those smaller cargo carriers in case we need to make some room on the inside of our Infiniti. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Infiniti Q50 - Curt- Video

Today on this 2014 Infinity Q50, we're going to install part number C11407 from Curt. This is their Class 1 inch and a quarter receiver hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our Q50. Next we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 10 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper will be about 5 3/4 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. more
